Glen Street Theatre is Back with a Bang in 2024

With an exciting and diverse lineup of performances, the Glen Street Theatre is all set to entertain audiences of all ages and preferences with its anticipated 2024 Season. 

The upcoming season promises to be memorable and featuring a wide range of genres, including live music, comedy, drama, film screenings, family shows, dance, and musical storytelling.

Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins said the fresh and diverse program offers something for every taste and age group.

“Glen Street Theatre continues to be a wonderful creative and cultural hub on the Northern Beaches,” Mayor Heins said.

“We are proud to announce a 2024 season program that is joyful, engaging and inclusive.

“We are also excited to present exceptional entertainment in partnership with some of Australia's premier touring production companies.

Some of the major highlights of the program include Agatha Christie's legendary play, The Mousetrap!, a well-known classic that has been running successfully on Broadway and West End for decades.

Families can look forward to high-energy shows like The Gruffalo and Dog Man the Musical. At the same time, music lovers can enjoy performances by famous Australian big-name artists like Kate Miller-Heidke and Prinnie Stevens and live music tributes to Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, ABBA, and more.

The season also includes a variety of dramas and acclaimed productions such as the Pulitzer Prize-winning Wit by Margaret Edson, The Peasant Prince adapted for children from Li Cunxin's memoir Mao's Last Dancer, and the Australian drama The Highway of Lost Hearts by Mary Anne Butler.

Returning favourites include the Wharf Revue with their new show, Pride in Prejudice, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, and a range of film screenings, including Manhattan Short Film Festival, Warren Miller's ALL TIME, Reel Rock 18 and more.
