Upcoming Line-Up at Curl Curl Creative Space
1 min read

EXHIBITIONS, workshops, talks, and live music are all set to be on the 2024 line-up at the Curl Curl Creative Space. The facility allows emerging and established artists across several art forms to nurture and display their creativity.

‘The Creative Space is not just a venue, it’s a melting pot of ideas and expressions,’ says Northern Beaches Council Mayor Sue Heins. ‘The line-up of events is a testament of the power of art to bring people together and spark meaningful conversations. I am thrilled by the vibrant line-up ¬there is something for everyone to enjoy and be inspired by.’

On the 31st of January through to the 3rd of February, “Older City to the Northern Beaches”, is an exhibition and a free talk by Dutch artist Robertus Kool. Due to his role in the United Nations, Kool spent 35 sketching the places and people he’s travelled to and seen. His story can be heard on the 1st of February, bookings required.

On the 28th of February to the 3rd of March, “As Beautiful as a Bullet” by Charlotte Bourilly showcases forgotten female bushrangers, their disturbing and beautiful nature, and their refusal to be aligned with sexual stereotypes. The exhibition will feature a series of events with space jazz, groove-based improv, and post-future beats performed by Cone of Confusion, Almost Toast, and DJ Makeda.

From the 7th to the 17th of March, “Luminosity of Spirit", an exhibition by award-winning contemporary artist Catriona Pollard features woven sculptures to access the spirit within nature. Catriona uses the basketry technique with forged vines and recycled metal wire to create sculptural works. A workshop by Catriona to learn basketry is available while the exhibition is running.

From the 20th to the 31st of March, “Stunning”, an exhibition by the Northern Beaches Gallery will display the works of 30 Northern Beaches artists. These works explore the beauty of the local natural ocean environment.
