Editor’s Word Edition 52 - 1 February 2024
1 min read

Happy Australia Day to all and congratulations to all our new Australian Citizens.

As February 2024 brings the Lunar New Year, I want to wish everyone a prosperous and healthy Year of the Dragon.

This February edition features news that is of immediate concern to our local residents.

In particular, the NSW State Government’s proposed housing policies, how this may alter the landscape of our communities, and the opinion of local councils – whether they are supportive or opposed to the changes.

I would also like to wish our fresh-faced 2023 HSC students' good luck as they receive their university acceptance, prepare for classes, and step foot into adulthood. This is the beginning of your lives, and though it may be daunting, don’t forget to enjoy it!

There is certainly much to look forward to in February and March.

International Women’s Day is upon us on the 8th of March.

The Post are hosting a Morning Tea at Magpies Waitara with guest speaker, Cristina Davy, Dating and Relationship Coach. Cristina has been featured in The Post in a previous edition and is a fountain of knowledge on the intricate challenges of women in the dating world.

We are excited to celebrate women on this day, and the immeasurable, often invisible, work they do for our communities and families. From young to old, from stay-at-home superstar mothers to corporate powerhouses, and all those in-between, International Women’s Day is for all women.

The Post hope to see you there!
