Get Ready for a Taste of the Beaches
1 min read

Taste of the Beaches returns in May.

Northern Beaches Council are bringing back the month-long food and wine festival after the festival’s success in both 2021 and 2022.

After summer falls into autumn, who then creeps into winter, local beverage and food businesses traditionally enter a quiet period. This festival is Council’s way of attracting visitors during the slower season.

‘Taste of the Beaches promises to showcase the best on the Beaches with unique experiences offered by local cafes, restaurants and breweries,’ says Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins. ‘The festival celebrates our area as a destination for incredible food and wine, craft beer and coffee while supporting local businesses to platform their unique fare.’

Northern Beaches Council has opened expressions of interests for local businesses to get involved in the festival.

Taste of the Beaches has currently replaced Taste of Manly, which has been paused pending review.

‘Many in the community expressed disappointment about the necessary changes,’ says Mayor Heins. ‘This year we are reviewing how we can best run the event in the future to meet our regulatory obligations while also meeting community expectations.’
