Xenos Restaurant Proving that Quality Never Dies

Riley's Review

Crows Nest has become a true hotspot suburb in North Sydney, boasting a bustling lifestyle, jam-packed with cafes and restaurants to treat locals and Sydney Siders.

Xenos Restaurant, a familiar name to many North Shore residents, situates itself in the heart of Crows Nest and makes up one of the longstanding favourite local dining locations, specialising in Greek and Modern Australian cuisine since the summer of 1969.

From humble beginnings, Xenos was established by Peter and Kathy Xenos initially as a milk bar from 1969 - 1979. Now, Xenos has grown into a well-loved establishment that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Despite its size and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, the restaurant still creates a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

The Post visited for breakfast; we decided to try the 'Greek Style Scrambled eggs', a reasonably priced delicious twist on a breakfast staple. What also caught keen eyes as it came out of the kitchen was 'Grandma's Greek Brekkie', a family recipe that lives up to its name. It was the perfect dish for winter, eggs baked in rich tomato concassé, garlic, chorizo and paprika.

The staff at Xenos were incredibly friendly and up for a laugh. Making sure to mingle with customers who sit down, continuing to build on that warm and welcoming atmosphere you feel throughout your dining experience.

I look forward to returning to try the Lunch/ Dinner menu, showing off various options beyond just Greek and modern Australian cuisine. Xenos' Long list of wines and drinks is also offered to complement all types of meals.

If you're looking for a spot with a longstanding reputation for quality, Xenos is the place to go. Locals have been flocking here for decades, and it's easy to see why. Whether you're in the mood for a quick coffee or a delicious sit-down meal, Xenos is worth visiting.
