Jennifer Anderson - Incumbent Independent Candidate for Roseville Ward
1 min read

The residents of Roseville Ward have continuously elected me to represent their best interests for the past fifteen years. Having served six terms as mayor I have the experience necessary to tackle the big issues impacting our community. I am the only Roseville Ward councillor who fought and won against the State Government’s Greater Sydney Commission demands for increased dwelling targets.

As Chair of Council’s Heritage Committee for over a decade I have successfully delivered statutory protections across Ku-ring-gai to save our built and natural environment.

Prudent decision-making over these 15 years has turned around Council’s past dire financial position of the early 2000s. Council now delivers record annual capital works budgets to provide improved amenity for residents.

Council has acquired over 27,500 square metres of new public open space, delivered the Lindfield Village Green and following a revised market engagement strategy in September 2021 Council now has a number of proponents keen to deliver the Lindfield Village Hub. In June 2021 the NSW State Government signed the funding agreement for provision of commuter parking in the Hub.

The awards that I have received are further testament to my achievements, including 2021 Local Government NSW Excellence Award; Davidson Woman of the Year; NSW Ministers’ Award for Women in Local Government and Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow. A proven track record is much more than promises.
