WITH help from Ku-ring-gai Council, a new playgroup for young children with additional needs opened on Monday 20 February, alongside a support service for parents and carers.
The playgroup’s home is 1A Acron Road St Ives and id open on Mondays between 9.30am and 11am.
The weekly playgroup will operate during school terms for children aged 0-6 years who have complex health needs, disability or other long-term medical conditions.
Specialist staff and volunteers will host the playgroup, providing a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
Mayor Jeff Pettett said both MyTime and the new playgroup were the result of government and other organisations working together to help parents and children.
