LIBRARY members can now reserve, renew and download items whenever they want thanks to the new app.

The new app went live this month and is available free of charge from the Apple store or Google Play.

The app offers the latest capability, with users able to check if an item is in their library catalogue through barcode scanning if they are in a bookstore.

They can also reserve items for free collection at any Ku-ring-gai library branch.

The app can store multiple digital cards and link accounts, so members don't have to keep track of physical library cards.

The app offers direct links to the elibrary for access to online books, audio and magazines, as well as round-the-clock music, film and television streaming.

The app can be used in English and Simplified Chinese.
