Additional JP services in two local libraries
1 min read

THE demand for JP services remains high with principal requirements being for certifying documents, witnessing Statutory Declarations and Affidavits.

Willoughby City Council and the Lower North Shore branch of the NSW Justices Association are working together to establish two new desks at Artarmon and West Chatswood Libraries as the NSW Justices Association calls for more volunteers to meet community demand.

“These two desks will make it easier for our residents to access a JP in addition to pre-existing desks at Chatswood and Northbridge Library,” Mayor Taylor said.

The President of the Lower North Shore Branch of the NSW Justices Association, Mr David Perabo, has called for more JPs to volunteer for service at the new locations.

“The Branch already provides JPs for four other desks on the Lower North Shore and, at times, replacing an absent JP at short notice can be difficult.

JPs will staff the new desks weekly on

  • Tuesdays at West Chatswood Library, commencing 3 May, 3.30-4.30 pm
  • Thursdays at Artarmon Library, from 5 May, 6-7pm
