1 min read

THE local Artarmon community has scored funding for improvements to Thomson Park as part of a program designed to create a lasting legacy for NSW from the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Member for Willoughby Tim James said Willoughby City Council had received $150,000 for new facilities at Thomson Park including the replacement of the current surface and installation of tiered fixed seating.

“Thomson Park is a focal point for sport, recreation and community in Artarmon, serving several local teams as well as the neighbouring Artarmon Public School” Mr James said.

“Sport is part of the fabric of our community, and I am pleased that this program established by the former government is having a positive impact on local sport in Artarmon.”
