CONSTRUCTION for Warriewood Valley Community Centre is good to go.
Northern Beaches Council has finalised negotiations with Belmadar Pty Ltd, the company who has been taken on board as the contractor for the project. It is estimated that the completion date will be sometime in August of 2025.
The community centre is being built on the site of the Nelson Heather Centre, and is being constructed with the capability to become an Emergency and Recovery Centre in times of community crisis.
‘It will have something for everyone with halls for recreational activities, meeting rooms, a community lounge room, large covered outdoor spaces which overlook landscaped gardens, showers and kitchen facilities,’ says Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins. ‘In short, a great community centre.’
