Happy New Year to all our readers.

As we embark on another promising year, it brings me immense pleasure to reflect on the journey of sharing hyper local news across the community.

It’s you, our readers, and your curiosity, passion, and love of local that inspires us here at The Post. With a wonderful blend of information, insightful journalism, and thought-provoking stories, each month The Post deliver independent news to deepen your understanding of the area you live in.

Much of the content of The Post is filled with information about your local area, the issues residents face, and the work of Councils. Later this year, Local Government will again vote in new Councillors. Some Councils have had the same Councillors for over a decade, though despite this consistency, little has changed for our communities.

I implore our readers to get to know who is on their local Council and to see how councillors have voted in the past on important issues. Nothing will change unless residents actively engage their councillors and make informed voting decisions.

If you are unhappy with your members in local government, I urge residents to consider themselves for Council. I would love to see some new faces and fresh perspectives.

Best wishes for a wonderful 2024 and a safe return to work, school and our bustling lives.
