AT a recent Neighbourhood Watch Gordon/Killara/East Killara/St Ives/Pymble meeting, an incident that recently occurred in East Killara was discussed. 

A schoolgirl was approached by a stranger offering her a lift in their vehicle. The incident was reported to the police. Residences nearby had CCTV that captured the vehicle and its registration which led to it being successfully identified. 

This is a great example of how installing CCTV and sharing it with relevant third parties can assist in identifying criminals.
